The word 'QUETTA' come from a pushto word Kwatta, which means fort. Quetta is located in a bowl shaped valley surrounded by mountains ,this city ,with a population of 700,000 is the capital of Balochistan, and is smallest of the provincial capitals but equal in impotance Quetta's history begins with the arrival of Islam, but it does not have any of the Mughal features found in some of our cities.
